North Coast 500

Embark on the epic North Coast 500 journey with Wee Coo Campers, where every twist and turn reveals a new adventure! Starting from Inverness, the 516-mile route promises stunning vistas and unforgettable experiences. Now, the age-old question: clockwise or anti-clockwise? While it doesn’t really matter, we’re going anti-clockwise for our Atlas itinerary. But hey, you’re the captain of your own campervan – feel free to blaze your own trail!

Now, some folks aim to conquer the NC500 in three days – ambitious, right? But hold your horses, or should we say, coos! A Scottish mile can stretch longer than a Highland cow’s moo, especially in a motorhome. So, take it slow, savor the journey, and let Scotland weave its magic around you.

Pick up your trusty Wee Coo Campervan from our Glasgow depot and hit the road toward Inverness. But first, stock up on supplies at convenient pit stops like Asda Robroyston and Tesco Extra. Then, settle in at campsites near the Moray Firth for a cozy night’s rest.

Start your day with dolphin-spotting at Chanonry Point – trust us, it’s a fin-tastic experience! Then, onwards to Dornoch, where golden beaches and historic landmarks await. Don’t miss a tour at Glenmorangie Distillery and a leisurely stroll along Dornoch’s picturesque streets.

Venture to Golspie for mountain biking or a hike up Ben Bhraggie, followed by a regal visit to Dunrobin Castle. Keep an eye out for Brora’s charming beach and its woolly spectators. Finally, rest your weary bones at Wick Caravan Site.

Explore the majestic ruins of Castle Sinclair Girnigoe before heading to John O’Groats for that iconic sign selfie. Then, wind your way through Dunnet Head and Thurso en route to Durness, soaking in breathtaking views along the way.

Take a breather at Durness, where cliffs meet the sea and Smoo Cave invites intrepid explorers. Then, cruise along the rugged northwest coast, pausing at Balnakeil Beach and Kylesku Bridge for some Insta-worthy moments.

Whether you linger in Lochinver or press on to Ullapool, the journey is just as rewarding as the destination. Marvel at Corrieshalloch Gorge, stroll along Gruinard Beach, and indulge in some retail therapy at the Balnakeil Craft Village.

Bid farewell to Applecross, choosing between the coastal route or the daring Bealach na Ba. Stop by Rogie Falls and Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery for a final taste of Scottish splendor before concluding your epic NC500 adventure in Inverness.

So there you have it – a whirlwind tour of Scotland’s rugged beauty, brought to you by Wee Coo Campers. Happy trails, fellow adventurers!
